Our Garden. Our World. Garden Membership


As a not-for-profit organization that was Federally chartered in 1964, the National Tropical Botanical Garden relies on support from the community, private foundations, donors and its members to fulfill its mission to preserve and perpetuate tropical plants for future generations.

With nearly one-third of the world’s plant species at risk of extinction and 90 percent of the earth’s richest biodiversity found in the tropics, NTBG is making a real difference when it comes to saving, protecting and understanding the world’s precious tropical resources.

One of NTBG’s most important funding sources is membership. Membership dues help support NTBG’s mission to enrich life through discovery, scientific research, conservation, and education by perpetuating the survival of plants, ecosystems, and cultural knowledge of tropical regions. As such, NTBG has launched a new membership campaign—Our Garden. Our World.—with new membership levels and benefits, including:

Membership Levels:
Individual $50
  • Unlimited admission for garden tours
  • The Bulletin, a magazine published for NTBG supporters
  • 10% discount at Garden Shops upon presentation of membership card
  • Special invitations to local events, workshops and lectures

Family $150 (2 adults (primary member plus one) and up to 3 children under 18.*)
Supporting $500
Silver Fellow $1,000
Please note: Memberships are individual (with the exception of Family Memberships) and extend 12 months from the date of enrollment.
*Age restrictions apply for Allerton Garden tours
